So I've been thoroughly considering going vegan for awhile now. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for me. I also want to know if I should take any supplements once I go vegan? I think maybe I should buy some B12 supplements but I wanna know what you guys think! Thanks so much for the help

A balanced diet with fresh fruit/veg, whole grains, and legumes (beans, lentils, etc) will provide a solid nutritional base. I also take a multivitamin.1

I would get some B12 for sure. I also take Vitamin D, iron (based on a recommendation from my doctor -- I wouldn't just start taking this without chatting with a doctor first), iodine, and an omega-3.

Other advice: Find some fun recipes -- veganism is much more fun when you enjoy your food (Pinterest is a good place to start). Try to eat a wide variety of foods. Don't beat yourself up if you wind up misreading or misunderstanding a label or accidentally eating something with animal products -- it happens to most of us at some point.2
