I'm looking for a tried and true hot sauce recipe. Anyone have one they'd like to share?

There are recipes on Pinterest, but I have not made one yet. While I was living in the Caribbean, yellowish home made hot sauces made from Scotch Bonnet (habanero) peppers were everywhere. Searching for "scotch bonnet pepper sauce" yields several recipes. Be careful to not handle the peppers directly, don't touch your eyes, etc. The peppers are quite hot, but very tasty.

There are some great hot sauce recipes there. We didn't follow the recipes exactly but used them as a guide and so far have made 2 varieties of good sauce.

I'm gong to try the Spicy chili-carrot sauce this weekend to make a purple hot sauce using purple carrots and purple cayenne. I'm also going to give the habanero pepper jam a try.

We have SO many hot peppers this year!
