Hi everyone! I'm Cathy and just signed up. I'm a few days short of 63 years old. Current weight: 242. I want to get down to 150. Complicating things are congestive heart failure and sciatica. Both really limit the amount of exercising, if any. I'm considering bariatric surgery, but my medical problems, including atrial fibrillation and being on coumadin, may prevent that. That leaves me having to really pay attention to those calories in.

Exercising isn't required to lose weight. Just log your food and drink intake and try to stay near or slightly under the calorie count MFP gives you and you'll lose weight. Welcome to MFP.1
