I just ate a large Big Mac meal with a strawberry milkshake however I've eaten the required calories for today which is approximely 2000. Will I gain weight because I ate this even though I have not eaten over my daily intake? Anyone know? Thank you

No. Calories are what matter for weight loss. Just because you ate them in the form of a McDonalds meal doesn't suddenly mean your will gain weight. You might see a scale spike if it's more sodium and/or carbs than you usually eat but it's not fat.3

You really need to get some help for your eating disorder.17

I thought you were trying to gain weight and are too skinny? Have you called your Dr yet about your eating disorder?11

I'm glad you guys are so observant. I'd never be able to keep track of these ongoing sagas.13

When someone posts threads with the same title every other day you are quick to recognize lol3 -

Big Mac and shake has more than 1/2 the calories of your 2000 goal and your 2000 goal is probably two high for you unless you are 6'6" ---- when most of the calories you take in are sugar and carbs and fat, you have less room for nutrition
You don't know the OP's stats, and she's said in other posts she's looking to gain weight, which would mean more calories. I'm 5'6" and 2000 would put me in a comfortable deficit.6 -

How do you know what the OP's stats and goals are? What if she is trying to maintain on 2000?
Also nothing wrong with having some McDonald's in moderation.2 -

carbs and fat are 2 of the main macros that make up all food...so how is that "less room for nutrition" - it probably also has a decent level of protein in the burger1 -

Please don't post ridiculous 'advice' when a) it's rubbish and b) you know nothing about the OPs situation.7 -
OP has left the building. I expect a reincarnation soonest.2

So you jump in on a thread posted by someone who is struggling with an eating disorder and is too thin by her own words and say ridiculous scare mongering things? Lots of people here below 6'6 can easily eat 2000 calories without gaining (she should be gaining anyways)7 -

Definitely. Seems common to either change name or get a new account when everyone catches on to them1 -

I did a search and the results were enlightening.
And sad.2
