Hi i recently had a dexa scan which on the handout says certain number of calories to eat as well as breakdown of macros based on my make up to lose weight. It was 1813 cals and even carbs and protein less fat.

My question is has anyone followed their dexa results and lost weight? I tried doing LCHF and was very successful but found it very hard to socialise and eat etc as it is so restrictive so gained it all back.

Thanks

I have had a DXA scan done quarterly for over a year and never paid any attention to the RMR estimate provided.

Only use it to monitor LBM, BF, bone density, VAT and any changes in LBM/BF by body part over time.

Never received a DXA scan report w/any other cal estimate (except for RMR) nor any macro recommendation either. However, don't think I'd pay attn to them even if they were provided.

Next DXA scan due in Sept.
