How to get credit for my steps

Hey. I'm using the UP wristband fitness tracker. I know they recently stated MFP would no longer be partnered with them and it seems today is the day it finally stopped working. A new tracker isn't in the budget so I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a back door way of figuring out my calories I earned back from the steps I've taken? I tried looking at my active calories burned number, but that gives me more than what I earned back yesterday when I walked 3x as many steps. I'm sure there's a way, I just don't know what it is. Thanks.

Just use a pedometer app on your phone.

That's what I do when I plan to walk/hike beyond my normal activity level.

I just log the time/distance I've spent walking as exercise. I know my commute distance, the distance I walk at lunch, and the distance I walk with my husband after work, and I know roughly how long it takes me. So that's what I log.

I have a basic pedometer and I use that if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking in a day.

Occasionally, I use Strava to track a long walk or a new walk just to confirm the distance.

If you have a history and it's been working for you, figure out a daily average to use as a baseline and then scale as needed from there.
