Avoiding Catabolism

It was another gorgeous day, here in the beach in beautiful downtown Carlsbad, California, and a perfect day for a Rest Day workout; a short 3.71 mile beach HIIT Hike that included five sets of Wallies on the rocks, a bit of rock climbing, a couple sets of Butters and Weight Bar Twists. In an effort to try and keep a lid on the calorie burn, I did the Hike at a very relaxed 2.5-3 mph pace. Tonight I'm trying to plan away to keep my daily calorie counter out of the deficit range and keep my diet reasonably clean. Either that or find a way to put the breaks in my BMR. If not, I'm distinctly running the risk of becoming catabolic, and suffering further Muscle Wasting. I've already lost a good 20 lbs while I was having my Mitral Valve Surgery. Guess it's time to down mire supps. Either that or do a my Sports Physician says…"EAT!
