Sauna before weight lifting?

Rather than do cardio, can i just sit in a sauna to warm up my muscles before lifting weights?

Getting hot in a sauna and warming up before exercise are two completely different things. Do a proper warm up & enjoy the relaxation in the sauna afterward.2

A sauna will help to increase blood flow, but you don't have any "physical" movement going on. And before you ask, DON'T do warm up moves in the sauna.
