Hi folks, I'm about to restart tracking my nutrients in the hope that I can get some control of my weight. I've tried this before with some success but as is usually the case with me I get bored / sick of tracking everything and give up.
Along the way I've been following other principles in the hope that I can lose weight without tracking my food - I've had some success with this too however it usually relies on excluding one or more food type(s) and I can manage for so long until I desperately want whatever food it is I'm excluding.
So ... here I am about to start again & this time I'm going to try & use a more common sense approach, I've identified that my TDEE is approx 3000 Kcals so will look to reduce my calorie intake to 2500 per day - this might seem quite high to some of you but I know I can't sustain a bigger deficit than this & this should allow me to lose a steady 1lb a week (ish).
Also my TDEE is relatively high also as I've been doing crossfit for almost a year now & do lots of dog walking etc so generally very active.
Not sure what else to add at this point other than I also have hypothyroid which can affect my metabolism - hoping I've got the right level of medication at the moment so this shouldn't be a problem fingers crossed.
I'm in the UK - in the heart of the Pennines between Manchester & Leeds.
