There are lots of good videos out there but I ran across this one just now and as I was watching it I came across a part where he shows his nutrition guide and graph for what he eats...

FAST FORWARD to 32:00

Hang in there, keep watching till at least 35:00

I wish I had $14 to spend on food a day!

I actually don't spend 14.00 a day on my food, I spend much less than that. The point that I was trying to make though is that if you FF to 32:00 you will see the sheet that he shows of what he eats on a daily basis and how we get all of our vitamins and minerals by eating a vegan diet and we don't need any supplements.

Most vegan websites that I have seen recommend Vitamin B12 supplements

Correct, we do need B12... I forgot about that one but that is for all of us, not just for vegans. Thank you for pointing that one out.

Yes, we do all need it but vegetarians and people who eat meat usually don't have to supplement as it comes as a freebie with animal products.

I haven't seen the video yet, but if you are interested in veganism and nutrition (without the bs), check out www.nutritionfacts.org
It is an excellent resource on nutrition which advocates a vegan diet.
Here is a short article on B12 in vegan diet: http://nutritionfacts.org/topics/vitamin-b12/
    kind regards,

    Ben

Typically only vegans are told to supplement but research into B12 deficiencies tends to show that vegetarians' B12 levels are also considerably lower than the general population.

Why am I watching a raw vegan haul video? I love raw vegan science "Have you seen what salt does to slugs? It's so bad for US!" Lol!

I don't really have any issues with raw veganism in practice. I think eating lots and fruits and vegetables will always be a good thing. Thankfully it is not even remotely necessary to spend $14/day to have a nutritionally sound vegan diet especially since $14/day is a super conservative estimate of what it would really cost most people to eat like him since most people don't have access to the wonderful wholesale market he does (less than $0.50 for an organic mango . . . I'm so jealous) and most can't grow a large enough garden to accommodate their needs.
