Just wanted to hopefully help/motivate/encourage anyone I can with this thread. I know I'm not alone in that no matter what the scale says, how many sizes I've dropped, or compliments I may have received..I still see myself as the same person I was before changing my lifestyle and losing some weight. Less PC...I still see the same fat guy in the mirror! So this weekend I took one of the ONLY pictures of myself at the start, my DL photo, and mended it right next to one I took this Saturday. I intentionally didn't smile for the sake of comparison. I'm not calling this a before and after because the after is still many pounds away. So maybe a before and during, lol.
Point being, take all the victories as they come! It doesn't matter how small you might think it is. Take it and be proud of it! A war is won by winning several battles. Do whatever it takes to motivate YOU. If your overall goal seems like it's too much to overcome, break it down. My goal is to lose 120 pounds. I started by just going after the 1st 10, then the next 10. After that it was to get 1/4 of the way. All that matters is what works for you. I did the photo comparison to show myself that the changes are happening and all the dedication and sweat HAVE been worth it.
As of today I'm down 47 pounds and the half way mark is on the horizon. You can do this and it is worth it!
