So I have a profession balance beam scale at home, and I weighed myself and it said Xxx amount, today I had gone to the doctor and they used a digital scale and it said I weighed 8pounds more.. I'm not to sure I trust these digital scales... 8 pounds is quit a difference.. what y'all think cause if that's the case my balance scale has been lying to me!

All scales are slightly different...2

I am an engineer and I run a testing lab and if the scales are not calibrated, I would not be too concerned about either result. Just stay with your home scale so you get consistency.
Many other things come into play with weighing...Time of day creates a huge variable. I personally weigh right after I wake up and take care of the morning "necessity", then step on the scale.2 -
Me personally no matter what scale I use just stick with the one, that way it will help to keep your reading consistent. Also depending on what time of day and what you have eaten and drank can also change the reading.1
