I just started exercising and would love some suggestions. I can't jog due to nerve damage in my leg, this is a result of a back injury. I can walk on the treadmill but have questions about weight machines at the gym? How many reps do y'all do? How many sets? Looking forward to hearing your suggestions. I have a long way to go but looking forward to reaching my goal!!

Skip the weight machines and go for the free weights. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you
Obviously with your nerve damage this could be an issue, so you may want to check with your doctor or a physical therapist on what you can do first.2 -
Walking in a pool will give you a cardio and a resistance training workout. Plus, no impact!0
