Looking to lose 50 pounds of fat and replace a good chunk with muscle

So currently my weight at 5'3 is 156.4 pounds. Fifty pounds of fat gone would be a dream come true, but I never actually want to see 106.4 on the scale. I want to land somewhere around 120 pounds, mostly because of muscle.

Does anyone know an efficient way of doing this? Right now my plan is to get as much protein as possible on a vegetarian based diet, exercise a different part of my body each night, and also limit fats. Is this... does that sound right? I'm kind of new to this so I'd appreciate feedback from someone a bit more knowledgeable, thank you in advanced
