So my sic said my A1c is 12.6 o need some low carb SNACK ideas ASAP! Help me
You need to see a Registered Dietician who can devise an entire meal plan around lowering A1C. A few low carb snacks aren't enough. You need to find out how many grams of carbs should be your maximum for the day and how to count grams of carbs and spread them out over the whole day.
A number that high is nothing to fool around with. I am surprised your doctor let you leave the exam room without a referral to an RD in hand.1 -
My husbands was around 10 and he got it down to 6.9 with a low carb diet from his endocrinologist and Metformin and Jardiance. You need medication at an A1c that high. It can cause damage to your kidneys, eyes ect.. He was very strict with it, meat and veggies mostly. We got a spiralizer and use veggie noodles. At Aldi grocery store they have Elevation brand low carb bars he likes that are not too expensive. Little peppers and cucumbers with dip for a snack. There are low carb wraps and we like Natures Harvest light multigrain bread.1
