Hey ladies, monthly cycle question

I was just wondering if anyone loses weight before you get your period? I have always always always gained at least 10 pounds the week leading to my start date. I literally lost 4 pounds alone the 2 days leading up to period starting, that of course does not include the weight I lost the few days before that. The day I start I'm so bloated but this time, I don't feel a speck of bloat. This is seriously the first time in 26 years this has ever happened to me lol but it also coincides with my first period since instarted my life style change.

I noticed my body changed a bit when I started losing weight. I experienced shorter periods and less bloating. Unfortunately I cramp more now. Hormones will change as you eat better and lose weight, so you could see more changes over the next few years.0

Thank you for the reply. I just can't believe it, it's like my body is getting rid of extra water rather then retaining it and that's never happened to me before.0

I tend to gain during ovulation no matter how well I'm eating. I generally see most of my weight loss a day or two after my period starts. I may see a slight loss during the month, but I get mostly a big drop in weight (as long as I'm logging) right after my period starts.2

Unfortunately for me, this is not the case. It always goes up the week leading up to and then drops a bit following it. I think at this point I would assume the scale was broken if it didn't go up the week leading up to. But that is great news for you! I hope it continues for you!1

I never bloated until I lost weight at my TOM so things definitely can change! Now I gain 3-5 pounds and look 3 months pregnant at my TOM. Or maybe I just never noticed how bloated I was before since I had an extra 80 pounds on me. But the bottom line is yes weight loss can effect you TOM.2

Thank you all for the replies, gives me peace of mind now.1
