Weighing surface

Hello! So the last few months I have been weighing in and I've seen a loss of weight as well as keeping it off; however, I weighed myself on my tile bathroom floor (normally weigh myself on a wooden floor) and noticed I seemed to weigh a little bit more. I know the body fluctuates in a day which can give you extra baggage, so weighing myself at night I assumed just that. BUT, I stepped on the scale as soon as I woke up the next day and the numbers did not change! I'm now wondering- what is the best type of flooring to weigh yourself on? All answers are welcome!

A firm floor is better than most carpet for most scales. I would suggest picking your place and sticking with it. The variance is probably insignificant in the long run :)

I also have my scale on a tile floor in my bathroom. The tile is slightly uneven. In any given spot, I can weigh myself repeatedly and have consistent weight. However, if I move it slightly, then the weight is different, although consistent in the new location. I am sure level is best -- all my laboratory scales require leveling.

The variance isn't much relative to my total weight, say 1% max. I'll move it around a bit each morning for the lowest weight. It may not be accurate, but so long as it's consistent, then I know if I'm going in the right direction.
