Going over your calorie count

My calorie allotment is somewhere around 1,360 for the day. I try to hit this amount, but have been going over anywhere from 100-300 calories. I try not to beat myself up over it, but how much of an impact can this really make in the long term?

I adjusted my goals from loosing 1lb a week to .5 a week... I don't think 1,370 was maintainable for me as I was always hungry. Now I am at 1,620

Good call. I really think it's best to lose at a sustainable, largely comfortable rate. Any deficit is a good deficit!

Remember, the other way to affect the calorie deficit is calories out. If you want to eat more and still lose at a faster rate, then just exercise more. But whether you do that or not, what you've done so far, adjusting to what seems like a reasonable goal for you shows wisdom. Being on the right path is the most important thing. So what if you need to adjust the speed so long as it makes the journey a sustainable one.
