Joined this site a few weeks ago and am down 4 pounds so far. Still have a long journey in front of me and would love to build a support network on her to help me along the way.
I am aiming to eat an average of 1500 calories a day although I eat lower in the week to allow a wee tipple or two at weekends. I also do stronglifts 5 x 5 3 times a week, yoga once with daily practice and try to walk when I can. I know I need to up my cardio but I hate it so no promises yet.
I am a 53 year old mother of two and wife to one. I work long hours but hey no excuses.
My aim is to be fitter, healthier, sexier and a little more visible again.
Does anyone relate?

Since you're already lifting you might check on the Eat More 2 Weigh More threads. They don't put as much stress on cardio and more on lifting. You might also find out you can eat more than 1500 cal/day. I did and I have found it to be much easier and I'm still losing weight. Not as fast, only about 1/2/week, but for me it's much more doable.
