Daunting...

Hiya folks! I'm looking for some friendship and support. I've got 100lbs to lose and the whole thing feels totally daunting...

    It will always look daunting if you look at the final goal first but, remember, you need to walk before you run. Set smaller goals so that you have little successes along the way (and so it's not so intimidating) and you'll be at that 100 pound mark before you know it. Also, remember that you didn't put the 100 lbs that you want to lose on overnight, so it won't come off overnight either. It's really easy to get discouraged but you can do it. :)

    I'm aiming to lose just over 100 lbs. I joined almost 18 months ago and now have 35lbs or so to go. Don't expect fast results after the first few weeks, just keep plugging on at it. MFP is a great tool to keep you focused and on target, speed isn't important, steady weight loss is where it's at.
