So I'm between 5'3.5 - 5'4. I weigh about 118 pounds. Now I have a very small frame so this is quite a high weight for me. I gained approx. 10 pounds the past few months... I am 19 an I'd like to lose between 7-10 lbs. Opinions? What is the best way to do this? Advice anyone? :)
Any thoughts are appreciated . Thanks!

    I am a similar size - 5'3" currently 116lbs (started at 127) with a goal weight of 110.

First, figure out what level of activity you are and plug your stats into MFP. I have a desk job and usually only get 2,000-3,000 steps a day, so I am "sedentary." Note that this is just normal daily activity, so walking around and doing errands, not actual exercise. Set your loss rate to 0.5 lb/week since you don't have much to lose. MFP will spit out a number for you, and that is how many calories you need to NET each day. Log specific exercise, like going to the gym, and eat back 75% of those extra calories (leaves room for margin of error).

Unfortunately for us shorties, we don't get a lot of calories to work with unless you are REALLY active. I only get 1300. So, be sure to eat lots of protein and veggies to fill up so you aren't starving! I also find that breakfast is the most important for me to set my whole day right (ie not hungry). I use the Sunwarrior protein shake which is only 100 cals.

Instead of losing more weight why don't you do a recomp?
This will improve your muscle mass, no you won't get bulky, and help resculpt your body.
You will look more shapely and lighter at the same weight. Best of all you won't have to lower your cals to lose, and you get more to to eat at maintenance at a higher weight.
