5 Naughty Foods That Aren’t (Ice Cream, Too!)

Ice scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream—and chocolate, chips, cookies and all those other tasty yet often high-calorie indulgences so hard to resist. Fortunately, you don’t have to! In your supermarket right now, you’ll find dozens of exquisitely delicious treats that satisfy your yen without wrecking your diet. For SELF’s Healthy Food Awards, we asked dietitians Willow Jarosh and Stephanie Clarke of New York City to gather all the treats that met their nutrition requirements (you can see the full standards at Self.com). Our 140 taste testers picked the most delicious. The decadent treats below topped their list—I bet they will top yours, too!

Best Ice Cream: Edy’s/Dreyer’s Slow Churned Double Fudge Brownie (120 calories, 4 g fat per 1/2 cup): A scoop of this fudgy ice cream tastes sinful, yet saves you 50 calories and 5 g fat compared with the full-fat variety.

Best Tortilla Chip: Garden of Eatin’ Multigrain With Sea Salt (140 calories, 7 g fat per oz): Their shape and texture make these flax-fortified chips ideal for dunking in guacamole or a chunky salsa.

Best Frozen Fries: Alexia Oven Reds With Olive Oil, Parmesan & Roasted Garlic (120 calories, 3.5 g fat per 3 oz): Want fries with that? When they’re these delectable crispy thick-sliced spuds flavored with sea salt, you bet!

Best Light Beer: Budweiser Select 55 (55 calories, 0 g fat per bottle): This refreshing light brew with a full-bodied taste and golden color is one slim tasty sipper. Bottoms up!

Best Cookie: Back to Nature Chocolate Chunk (130 calories, 6 g fat per 2 cookies): Thanks to massive chunks of chocolate and buttery dough, this cookie took the cake!

Bonus: Try our at-home slim down plan.
