Elliptical Movement Keeps Stalling

hi,

i wasnt sure where to post this but i just need help or some advice on an elliptical i bought recently. when im on it, it tends to move in jolting movements rather than a smooth flow like how its supposed to, and it also makes a dull squeaky sound. the thing is im not sure if it needs servicing or if im too heavy for it as im am smack bang on the weight limit specification. but the thing is when i try to move the handles to get it going without me being on it, it still doesnt feel as smooth as im sure it should be. any ideas please?
