If I eat at 3 am, is this considered the next day?

You can establish any consistent convention that works for your life-style.
Consistency and overall calories over time are what matters...4 -
Exact same answer as the last time you asked this question: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10587079/eating-at-midnight#latest8

Did you go to sleep for the majority of your night yet - or up until 3am and then ate?
My next day for food logging doesn't start at midnight, but when I wake up and begin eating again - even if that eating doesn't take place 12 hrs after getting up.
So 3 am would be logged to prior day's calories since still up.2 -
Generally I consider a day's calories from the time I wake up until I go to sleep, no matter how late, and I log everything on the day of/prior to going to sleep.1

Thats about how it should work1
