Really Large Calves

Hey, I've been wondering what is wrong with my calves. I'm already relatively thin (5'5" and 105-110 lbs) but my calves are huge, even compared to people certainly heavier than I am.
Here are some pics:
What am I doing wrong? Is my only way more weight loss?

TBH they don't look huge at all to me. They look balanced, and I think you're being hard on yourself! Some people who are heavier may not have a lot of muscle mass, which may result in their calves looking smaller.14

It's genetic, nothing you can do about it. And yours look good. If you have weight to lose, you might lose some fat from there.3
-
They're not huge at all. Also, you may just be built a certain way. My thighs are quite slim but my calves are only slightly smaller in diameter. Nothing I can do to change genetics which kinda sucks since I love the look of over the knee boots and there's no way they go over my calves2

I have the same concern about my calves. But yours look great. They're shapely and proportional. You might be too hard on yourself. As someone else told me, "You have skirt legs." Go flaunt them girl!3
-
They look pretty normal to me. You should see mine. I love them though..2

Ummm. ...nope I don't see it. I asked my overly critical 10 yr old son, and he said there's nothing going on there either. But.....you have very nice legs though. I know we ourselves can see our imperfections clearer than a stranger, but honestly you look great.9

Sorry but the only thing that is huge is your perception. Your calves are nice looking and in good proportion. I wish I had the same problem...4

They look normal. Some of us actually have large calves. Yours are slim. Enjoy.12

Your calves definitely are not big.1
-
That doesn't look anywhere near "really large". You're being too critical on yourself. I have actual really large calves and other than not being able to wear boots I love them. It's not a negative thing in my opinion, just a different look.4
-
Lol your calves look fine.
Is this some kind of help- brag?18 -

You're seeing something that isn't there...3

Your calves look great to me!
Mine (genuinely) are huge - I only have about 30 lbs to lose but I can barely buy boots to fit without getting wide-fit ones from specialist retailers I'm hoping that losing weight will help. They feel quite muscly but hopefully I'll still lose a couple of inches...0 -
No not really large calves at all, and weight loss won't help make them smaller. Not that you'd want or need to lose any weight given your already low weight.0

Using extensive experience gained over four decades of what my wife calls "window shopping" I can confidently assure you that your calves are not at all huge, not even large in fact.12
-
You can look at the menu as long as you're eating at home.14 -
Your calves are far from huge. They're actually on the small side.
I think your perspective may be a bit off. Are you aiming for zero muscle at all?
Eta... Actually.. They're quite beautiful. You have gorgeous legs.2 -

And no loud, "Damn, that looks good," or drooling. Plus, when you sit down to your home-cooked meal, no need to tell it how great those appetizers on the menu looked.13 -
OP, your calves look great. We're our own worst critic sometimes. Wear your shorts & skirts with confidence.0

My hubby is relatively long bodied with short legs. HIS calves are huge and in fact body builders have come up and asked how he does it. Genetic.
I like your calves. They will help you take stairs two at a time.
I don't see a shot of your torso but I'm betting you are proportional all around.1 -
I think your legs look great. I'm in agreement with everyone else here...your perception is the only thing that's off.1
-
On what basis do you think they're huge? Have you measured them?4
-
I would kill for those legs. No loose skin dripping with a thick layer of fat. Just nice and healthy looking!!0
-
Hmm yeah, you're probably right. I just feel like everyone around has much slimmer and nicer looking calves. TT2
-
I always thought shapely calves like yours were what everyone wanted! I guess it's that grass is always greener syndrome...
I've always liked my legs, and they look a lot like yours, so I may be a bit biased -- but, hey, being happy with your body is a good feeling. I recommend it. Also, don't compare your body to others' -- you can appreciate everyone's beauty without diminishing yours.9 -
LOL! You seriously think YOUR calves are huge? Sweetie, please. Your calves a skinny Minnie.
My calves are pretty big, but I'm coming to terms with them because a) it's largely genetic and most everyone on my dads side of the fam has big legs, and b) they give me the power I need to run the distances I do (...with the help of the rest of my short muscle-y legs of course).4 -
My husband says to tell you skinny calves aren't good looking. Calves are supposed to have a certain amount of muscle in order to look good.2

They look great!0
