90 grams of carbs isn't much at all. MFP's default macros are 50% carbs, which would be 150 grams on the lowest calorie intake. Carbs aren't what make people gain weight, excess calories are.

Why do you feel that? A lot for what? What is your source of information, and what are you comparing with?

I feel that 90g is very low.

That is why you can alter your diary to any amounts you would like. Choice is a great thing.

Standard for most is 150g.. but if you feel it's to high, change it. Low carbers do. Mine is set to 0 but only because 5% is the lowest before that. I'm aiming for >20g

Carb counts are high because you ate carbs.

It seems simple, but that's what happened. If you logged your food accurately you can look at your food diary and see what items have carbs. If your candied almonds have carbs, switch to plain almonds. If having tuna on crackers gives you carbs, have tuna alone.

90g of carbs is a pretty good goal per hour for endurance exercise. :)

Standard (default) is 50% of calories. That would only be 150 g at 1200, and most probably should not be at 1200. Should some, especially if they don't do/add activity? Sure.

Anyway, no harm in consuming less.

Considering that carbs are in everything besides raw protein, that's a small number.

90g would be a low carb diet. MFP isn't automatically set to low carb because you don't have to eat low carb to lose weight. If you'd like to do LCHF or Keto, you need to manually change your macro percentages.

I lost 15 lbs and have been maintaining for a couple of years eating 150-225g carbs, on 1400-1800 cals.

^^ This. Low carb is under 100-150g of carbs per day.

Most recommended diets suggest 50-60% carbs which is probably double that for someone eating at a deficit.

Are we in some kind of disagreement?

No I don't think so. Why do you ask?

As you can see, I quoted the OP because I was responding to them. Your comment hadn't even posted when I was typing mine.
