Hi

I'm 29 and female. I have dropped around 23lbs since January this year and currently weigh 9st 13lbs. I'm quite comfortable at this weight but wouldn't mind dropping another 5 or 6 lbs. my problem is at the moment my body fat percentage is still higher than I'd like around 29-30%. I've been doing a lot of cardio and have just started getting back into strength training with weights. I eat on average 1660 calories per day sometimes more depending on how much cardio I've done. And am losing around 0.5 - 1lb per week.

If I up the strength training and reduce the cardio whilst keeping my calories the same but upping my protein intake should the body fat start to reduce?

Any advice would be great!
Thanks

Body fat is reduced when stored body fat is tapped for energy. That happens in a calorie deficit. But there's more to it than just being a deficit because along with fat, you can lose muscle too. This interns reduces your RMR which is when you burn the most stored fat if in deficit.
Add in resistance training to keep the muscle you have, keep cardio the same and continue to lose the .5-1lb a week.
