Bison meat

Hello everyone! I went to Twisted Root for lunch today here in Texas. I ordered a Buffalo burger, and found the calories to be very low, the protein baked very high. The burger was excellent! Does anyone know of, our have a source, for bison meat that isn't super expensive

I don't know, but I notice the restaurant BJ's here in phoenix has bison burgers at about 600 calories. Wanted to try it.

Define expensive. I love it though and because my servings sizes are 4oz at a time, it's not too expensive for me. HEB, usually carries it. Also, ask your local butcher shops. The one I go to, I order a certain amount and when they get it in, they call and will deliver it (or I can pick it up if I want). It's a little more expensive (not much) per pound than the grocery store, but it comes exactly the way I request it(40 4oz steaks, 10lbs ground in 1lb packages, 5 2lb roasts).

I cam get it at my local Kroger chain for about 8.99lb. A little pricey, but delicious. I love bison chili!
