I've had it done and it was the best thing. It was a quick day surgery and easy as pie! The pain you have during attacks is 1000 times worse that the recovery with I found very easy. Good luck!

I had mine removed 3 yrs ago during emergency surgery because I kept putting it off....and it really is the best thing I've ever done. I know any kind of surgery can be scary but I was released from the hospital 2 hrs after waking up.

the worst part for me was the complete confusion upon waking up lol. they kept asking me questions and i just kept blinking, smiling, and saying "i.... i dont know.....maybe?"

i had mine out in october- i was up and walking around pretty soon after having it out, and went home a few hrs later. just be sure to brace yourself with a pillow when you're going to cough or sneeze, or laugh really. go light on the pain meds if you can, they can constipate you. i only needed the pain meds for the first day, and after that it was sore but tolerable.

ps: this was my first time going under, my first surgery was last july when i had my baby via c section.

Got my done last april, The doctor and all the people I had was great. It did take me a little longer to wake up. I slept in my chair when I got home till I could sleep in my bed. and having my husband my mother in law and dad was great they help with the kids. The pain was so bad. I'm glad I get it done and over with.
