Hi Guys,

Tomorrow I'll be starting the 8 Week Half-Marathon Training Program in order to prepare for the Medibank Melbourne Marathon on Sunday 15th October 2017, in which I want to run a Half Marathon!

In my entire life, I've never run a longer distance than 10km, which I did last year in just under an hour. This year I plan on changing that!

The program I'll be doing can be found below:

If you want to join me in doing this challenge feel free to follow along

I'm also kicking off a number of other challenges in parallel to this, they can be found below:

if 4k was 'killer' then you may not have the necessary running base to do a half in 8 weeks. or you just need to slow down....

That's true, I'm quite an amateur when it comes to running but determined to see this program through. Hopefully my body will adjust quickly

Hey again! Prior to my holiday, I was running on average 20-25km/week. Unfortunately have been away for 5 weeks in Vietnam which has definitely caused me to dip a bit fitness wise. But excited to get things back on track

your fitness should come back pretty quick.

run slower... even slower than that... especially as your mileage increases.
