So I just signed up for a 12 week challenge at my gym 'Biggest loser' style. After 12 weeks whoever loses the most % of weight wins. 10k 1st place 5k 2nd and 2500 3rd. Then the winner goes to compete against all the other gyms in the chain for a chance at 50k! So I weighed in at 253 (fully clothed) My goal weight is around the 200 mark so 20% of my weight is what Im looking for. I had my last who-rah this weekend and looking to really get down and dirty for the next 12 weeks. No crap! Soda, pizza, pasta, bacon, chipotle, subway... its all done! Water and grilled chicken, turkey, and salads! yay! So If anyone has advice for burning a few extra calories in the gym or cutting/add something to my diet... please let me know! new friends also welcome!

I'm in the same boat as you:)
Lean protein, good carbs... Water, water water
Weights and Cardio...
I'm sure I could stand to learn some better ways to reach my goal too!
Good luck to you0 -
My recommendation is to weight yourself at the same time every week. Don't do it daily because your weight will fluctuate a lot from one day to the next. Workout at least 4 days a week and incorporate cardio. Walking fast or running slow - it doesn't matter. Just get your heart rate up for a sustained period.0
