Hello guys. My name Ryan I was training for roughly 2months doing SL 5x5 and was loving it lost 1st but I've ended up with a shoulder impingement and it's really bummed me out as it took me a long time to get into the gym to train as I suffer from depression/anxiety and I'm overweight but I was getting better through working out but now that a can't cause of injury it's made go back to been depressed and eating junk again I really want to get back in the gym but I don't know how to fix my injury I've watched tons of videos on it but I'm still clueless. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it? Also is there anyway I can still train around the injury? I would really appreciate any advice Thanks.

I have had/have shoulder impingement. It can be caused by a number of things. You would be best served by seeing an orthopedic doctor or physical/occupational therapist to determine the best course of action and best work-arounds.

This is NOT a replacement for an in person exam by a doctor or PT, but if the OP would like to read up a bit on the shoulder, Eric Cressey is a long time trainer who has developed a reputation as a top shoulder guy.
Lot of great free content on his site.
