is foam rolling supposed to be strenuous?

I previously thought it was supposed to be more relaxing, just like a yoga stretch
but I've found that when foam rolling, I mostly need to support my body up with my other limbs, like a plank. this is a lot of work!
am I doing it wrong?

Most of your weight should actually be on the roller and your arms more for stability but it's work and can be quite uncomfortable if enough pressure is applied for it to be effective.
Not quite as uncomfortable as a deep tissue massage but ...........0 -
