So I believe we are supposed to go to Barro's pizza for dinner to support my daughter's school tonight. When I go to their website for information they only have allergen info. How do I figure out how many calories a slice of Hawaiian pizza would be?

Have you ever had their pizza? If so, I'd consider what other pizza places have similar pizza and use an entry for one of those.

Barro's pizza is in the mfp database and says 260 calories in a slice of Hawaiian pizza.

Which may or may not be correct if it's user entered and they don't provide info on their site. But it sounds about right for one slice of Hawaiian

I would probably compare to like a Pizza Hut/Dominos/Cici's pizza and see how similar they are

I've never eaten there but it looks similar to Dominoes or other chain-type pizza - bready thicker crust and heavy on the cheese/toppings.

Assume those as your comparisons but make sure you account for size differences in slices - Dominoes and the like tend to have pretty small pizzas (their larges are something like 14" while a NY style pizza place large pie runs 16" to 18").

Worst case, assume 500 calories a slice and call it a day.

I didn't see Hawaiian in the database when I looked. I was thinking 500 too just to be on the safe side.

    Thanks

Papa Johns has a Hawaiian pizza that says 350 calories for a slice of large pizza. So probably between that and the 500.

I bought a small pizza and did half pepperoni for the kid and half hawaiian for me. So that was a total of 3 small slices for each of us and I ate 2. Figure that amounts to maybe a large slice. Thanks for the advice!
