Age 23, Female, Mother to a 15 month old still breastfeeding, currently 80kgs, 173cm
Background story: I was lucky throughout my teenage years my heaviest was 65kgs but once i left high school i slowly gained weight even though i ate the same food my whole life and i had never played sports in my life but the older i got the more my weight kept creeping up. Age 22 my heaviest was 95kgs and that was before i fell pregnant. Once i had baby i went down to 85kgs and three months later i was back at 96kgs. I found MFP by looking on google for the most popular weight loss apps and this app was highly recommended. I started using this app on the 1st of July and have used it every day since. Its opened my eyes to how unhealthy the foods i was eating was. I knew living off noodles wasnt healthy but when you are a poor student for 4 years it was just convenient to live off. I had tried garcinia pills, kate morgan, crazy diets that you find all over the internet, even water fasting but nothing suited me not for long term anyways. It wasnt until i followed this app i have managed to continuously lose weight every week. I weigh myself once in the weekend in the morning before i have breakfast every weekend. I was size 18/2xl and now fit comfortably into a size 14/large. I have a complan shake for breakfast every morning and if im still hungry i have eggs or a banana. For lunch i love having a small can of tuna on crackers the little lunch size packets. If i feel like a snack during the day i will just eat whatevers in the fruit bowl. I put the fruit bowl on the kitchen table and it encourages the whole family to have fruit because its in your face. For dinner i have meat and veges usually chicken carrots brocolli cauliflower parsnip cabbage or any frozen vege packets we have in the freezer. I use a medium sized plate and eat half then drink a lot of water and if im still hungry ill eat the rest or just put in the fridge for dinner the next day. I have taken most carbs out of my diet so no potatoes or bread or noodles or pasta etc. I only drink water so no juice or fizzy and i still have the occasional drink in the weekends but after losing so much weight ive noticed that i dont drink much because ive become such a light weight drinker which is good because i get intimidated by how much sugar and calories are in alcohol so thats a big put off for me. My daily calories i aim for is 1200. I am lucky i do not have a sweet tooth so its easy for me to cut any sugar out of my diet. When i get sick i love lemon and hot water drinks or even when i feel like a hot drink and lemon and ginger green tea. I hope that anyone who reads this takes something or anything helpful away from this. I also drink atleast 3 litres of water daily but thats mostly because breastfeeding makes me dehydrated all the time. I also do little to no exercise besides having a spotless house love cleaning everything in the house and rearranging all the food in the house so i know what to cook and only having healthy food in the house. I also take my baby for walks whenever its sunny even if its just around the block or doing squats and platforms or using her as weights. If you do a little bit of exercise a day anything you do you should be proud of because anything is better than nothing. If you have any questions or advice please let me know thank you
