I know most of this is probably water weight, but I'd be lying if this wasn't a great feeling either way.

Can I ask why you believe it to be water weight? Is the first pounds lost always water weight? Because I count calories, do strength training every night and walk 4 miles 5x a week and as of today lost 10 lbs. I would hate to think it's all water weight.0

For what it's worth every one is different and its learning how our body responds to food/stress/cycle etc but I've found my body can retain 1-3kgs of water retention and if I move it or gain that in a few days for any of the above reasons then I say water retention, but if I was to lost 3kg over a month, thru healthy eating and exercising and my clothes felt better then I tick that as real weight loss don't down play your hard work it!!! your doing really well2
