Stubborn belly fat

I had a baby 4 years ago. Before the child, I wasn't totally in shape but I was in my weight range for my height which is 5'6. It was always easy for me to loose weight until I gained 30 pounds. I had a moment in my life of bad anxiety so I was on medicine which blew me up even more. Now im at 45 pounds over weight. I decided to give up the medicine and fight anxiety naturally with vitamins, diet, and exercising. I started exercising for about two months but started intense workouts 3wks ago and I lost 10 pounds. My problem is my stomach ( looks like extra pooch). As I lose weight, its still huge and hanging. I am afraid that as I lose noticeable weight, It will just become flat and saggy. Can I work this saggy problem off (how) or will it be something that I will have to live with after having a baby? ( I was 210lb now I am 200lb)

It's impossible for us to tell you what your end result will be. What I can tell you is that it is at least 50 lbs too early to think about this. Stomach fat is notorious for being the last to go for many people, regardless of sex or maternal status. Focus on losing fat in general and don't sweat this issue. Best of luck to you.6

Agreed. Also, for later: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p13 -
Well it's only been 10lbs. You won't really know till you've lost the other 35lbs you want and let some of your skin retract (which can take up to 2 years).
Let me be up front and say that for many females, that after child birth attaining what you used to have may never happen. That's not to say that it can't, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't.
The important thing is that there is a new life in this world and you get to teach and nurture that child.

It took about 2 years for the skin on my stomach to tighten up, so as you lose it may indeed become flat and saggy and weird looking, but you won't really know what the final look will be until couple years at maintenance...depending on how much you lose and how elastic your skin is, you may need surgery to remove excess...but at 45 lbs, I doubt that will be necessary, that's usually more of an issue for people who lose 100+0

I encourage you to start doing toning exercises now. Have you tried yoga or Pilates? I've had a kid, too, and the stomach I have isn't the same as before I gave birth, but it is better now after losing weight. My skin took a long while to snap back into some semblance of shape. It's hard to be patient.0
