Body throbbs and pulsates after a work out..?
Just started working out. I'm 286 pounds. To start I'm only walking 30 mins a day @ 3.0mph. (I'm also really short so I have short stubby legs so I can't go so far or fast lol.) any reason why my body throbs and pulsates after a work out? Yes I stretch before I walk.

Do you have the ability to meet with a doctor? It might be a good idea when starting even a modest exercise program if you'd been really sedentary before.

Start with 10 min at a time, 3 times a day. Then start adding time to each outing gradually, 5 min per week

Might be a deficiency in electrolytes: Magnesium, calcium, potassium (shoud only be taken from food) or salt.

I work out pretty regularly and after an especially challenging session still feel a pulsing and heat coming from my muscles after. It's always better after an epsom bath or a good nights sleep though.

    same here.

If it's just the muscles that you use when walking (including the muscles in your arms and core that are used when walking briskly), then it's probably just the result of unaccustomed activity, and it should get better as your body gets used to it. When you use muscles in ways that they're not used to, you cause microscopic damage to the fibers, and your body will repair them to make them stronger. It could also be an electrolyte deficiency, as @yirara suggests.

You might also be sore the day after an unaccustomed workout; that's called DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), and while it's a pain, it's not dangerous.

Probably just normal soreness, but if you haven't been to a doctor in a while it's a good idea to get a checkup when starting to workout. Just to make sure your blood pressure, etc. is good.

Ive been fairly similar when walking. It doesnt always hit straight away but coming that evening my feet & bum seem to hurt the most and im slow getting around. Bath or the worse days definitely helps me.
