I posted the first 2 pictures on this day last year on Facebook because I had hit my first 50 lbs lost. Weighing this morning, I've added another 34 lbs to that for a total of 84 pounds in a year and a half. I've started over more times than I can count. I've given up on myself more times than I can count. I talk to myself negatively more times than I should admit, I'm too hard on myself sometimes but I am finding a balance of what works for me and what doesn't. Someone once told me "Don't stop because it's hard, Results aren't easy to get!" That is the truth. Don't wait until you reach your goal to be proud of yourself! Be proud of every step you take to reach that goal. Because those steps are hard. If for you that is running a mile or just getting up and walking for 10 minutes - do it! If you do hot yoga for an hour or do 2 yoga poses - do it. Rock climb? Cardio hip hop? Dancing in your living room or biking 30 miles... Anything you take the time to do for your health is a good start. It just has to be fun or you won't continue. If the thought of yoga or running doesn't excite you choose something that does! What works for one person may not be for you. And if you can find someone who believes in you when you don't and motivates you to not give up and calls you out on the negative thoughts you have.. well that is a bonus. You will not always be motivated, you have to learn to be disciplined and most importantly flexible - because sometimes a hamburger and a beer is what you need more than a run.. Its finding the balance ......
