Strength training away from home?

I'm newly retired and planning to travel often and for several weeks at a time. Does anyone have suggestions for keeping up on strength training when you're away from home? I've thought of resistance bands but wondering if there are other suggestions that work for being on the road and doing workouts in a hotel room or gym. Re. resistance bands I was also interested in recommendations for good workout routines that I can follow on YouTube or other video streaming sites. Thanks!

resistance bands are nice, so is bodyweight stuff. Or even a TRX, it fits in a suitcase and has a doorway attachment and there are youtube videos to follow along.

I go to whatever gym is in the area. I pay per day/workout. I call before hand and make sure the gym is okay with it.

You could try some bodyweight workouts! They should still be tough, and you can always add some dumbells or water bottles as weights. I use fitnessblender.com and I strongly recommend it! :)

Thanks Susan! I am also a big fan of Fitness Blender! I will search thru their videos for bodyweight exercises.

If there's a choice of hotel, I always check out what their "fitness room" is like online before I book and choose the one that has free weights, cable machine or both. When that hasn't been available, then I do push ups, various plank options, and body weight squats and call it good.
