How many times a week should one really be working legs? I usually do 3 days a week with two rest days in between. I know that's probably crazy! If someone could please help me out here.

3x a week is fine, what's also just as important is what you are actually doing on those days & how well you have your eating under control. Hopefully you are working out your upper body as well using a good full body program with predominantly compound movements.2

How often you train legs or other body parts will depend on your programming. If you aren't already, I would recommend following an established progressive lifting program.
I train legs very often but I don't max out or go crazy heavy each day.
What are your goals?0 -
I squat, deadlift, hipthrust once per week (so 3 lower body days...if you count deadlift as lower (I hit accessory glutes and hamstrings on dl day)). I do heavy main lifts (squat, dl, hipthrust) + high rep accessories.
I'm training for powerlifting meet, so my training style revolves around strength.
Do you want huge legs? do you want "tone" legs? do you only care about having strong legs? Pick a training program that matches your goals.0
