Looking to lose 10 pounds

Hi I'm 123 pounds and would like to start a support group to shift about 10 pounds and keep it off before Christmas.
I already eat to the 1200 limit and have started exercising 2-3x a week.
Anyone in the same boat?
Any tips on resisting sugar (pastries are my enemy)?

    For my sweet fix, I either allocate the calories or look for options - frozen fruit, tea or gum. I also tend to drink water first as I realise sometimes I am thirsty and not really hungry. I also tend to have items in small quantities such as mini chocolates and such.

    I love pastries too and simply don't have it around to tempt me. Lol
