Torn abdominal muscles.

Hi! So, I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey but I am limited to the types of exercise I can do. As a result of pregnancies with big babies, my abdominal muscles are torn apart with seemingly no hope of getting together again without surgery. I haven't had any helpful information other than surgery.
I was hoping maybe some other ladies in the same boat may have helpful advice or perhaps just knowledgeable people have some tips for me with the kids of exercises I can do or if I am really going to need to just stick to cardio.
