I have lost 8lbs in 1 week. I always drink a lot of water, I haven't changed anything in my diet. My plan was to really get started once my student loans come in and I can really go grocery shopping.
I noticed my pants were looser but I didn't really think too much of it.
Should I be worried?

It depends on how much you need to lose. How much do you weigh? I could never lose 8lbs in a week unless I had a virus and was throwing up all day everyday.

I was 148lbs I'm now 140. I'm tired, but I'm always tired because my 1 year old is up every few hours in the night.

It'll be water if you have drastically changed your diet

I had a seven pound swing last week. A couple pounds was probably what I put on during 4 days of eating with reckless abandon (friends in town) but most of it was water. I went from 160 to 166 and back down to 159 in about 12 days -- so over those 12 days, I lost about a pound but it was a roller coaster ride.

Some folks, especially young women, go through this every month. If I want to put on a couple extra pounds for a few days, all I need to do is get Chinese take out and eat all that nice salty sauce.

If you lost 8 pounds in your first week, most of it was water weight. Could be hormones. Could be salt. Could be exercise or injury or the weather or sleep deprivation or ...
