I have seen tons of before and after pictures and I am so concerned with a sagging belly afterwards. I know sometimes it can't be helped, but is there things I can do to help reduce the risk of it happening? I am just starting so any advice will be taken. Thank you

This is about all you can do to try to prevent it. Slower weight loss, adequate protein, and strength training. Sagging belly is really more about still having fat and having loose skin. I have loose skin. It tucks into my swimming suit or underwear. Eventually I may have it removed. Above all just having the loose skin means you have put yourself in a much healthier place, so don't fret over something you really can't do much about.

Thank you and I understand the battle of it and yes mine would remind me that I gave 3 families the gift of children, but I would rather be without it. Thank you for advice and I guess if it comes down to it I will have surgery.

Stay hydrated, use a good moisturizer and don't lose too quickly. Lifting weights, while not a bad idea in general, does not get rid of sagging skin. Spandex can help with the sagging but it won't get rid of it, of course.

Like me , I struggle with a small gut. It's all I can do to keep going. I'm 50 years old and I am now on my 5 th month at the gym. I have loss around 23 lbs but still trying to lose all the fat on my stomach. Cardio , weight training and calorie counting helps me. I do high protein low carbs no sugar. I see the difference , but it's still a slow process. Keep trying and don't get discouraged. It will happen

Based on your pictures...it sure doesn't look like you have sagginess anywhere!

the only real way to prevent a sagging belly is to not have a big belly in the first place. I live with mine. I wouldn't ever have skin removed it serves as a reminder of who I was and who I am today.

This is kind of difficult when you are growing a human inside you for 40 weeks :p. On a lighter note, I think we are reminded every day of "who we were/are/will be" when we hear "mama mama mama". Nope, I don't want a belly as an additional reminder. No surely surely do not.

But seriously I agree with usmcmp...healthy over the belly. Focus on the positive :)

I have lost over 85 lbs and had two children prior to gaining the majority of the weight, I have lost steadily at about a lb a week and since getting close to goal, 1/2 lb a week. I do mostly cardio and walking as exercise. Its only in the last 3 months or so that my stomach "pouch" has started to shrink and the loose skin has become a lot less noticable, I have only ever slapped on a bit of baby lotion, when I have remembered to do so.
