I will! I'm actually feeling really dumb that I deleted my MFP account.
However, MFP is also dumb and for some reason it still lets me post here hahahaha.
idk...maybe I was going too hard and just weightloss and stress got to me. MFP is actually the single greatest tool in my weightloss efforts and I raged at the *kitten* underperforming app when trying to log my lunch one day and threw it away.
*sigh*

An acrylic painting of my first daughter...now she's 9, and this painting still needs work!

I tried posting some of my work a while back but the thread was deleted and I was put in "jail" for 15 days for self-promotion, so I will not partake in this, but, I do enjoy seeing others work!1

A study after a Da Vinci drawing...

This is a gum arabic print created from the charcoal drawing above. It's an interesting process. You take a photocopy (like a regular photocopy) of something. There's something about the toner which has a chemical reaction/entanglement...something...with this stuff gum arabic which you treat the resulting printed photocopy.
That, then becomes a template which you can roll with ink. You then get a sponge and scrub away the ink...and you can do interesting little flourishes and just do interesting things in how you remove the ink.
That then becomes a ONE TIME template for a printmaking process...it (the printing template) will get ruined when you run it through a press like you would use to press a wood cut.
I wish I had regular access to one of those presses...they're kind of big and expensive, and tbh...the chemicals you use like Varsol and so on to clean up are pretty harsh on your body and mind so eh...German printmaker like Munch and all those people where crazy.
Probably had brain damage tbh...
lol...we all got accidentally high one day in class we forgot to open the windows.
brb 100,000 brain cells gone.

This was a drawing I did at idk...I think 19 or 20.
I was a pretty big and strong guy in high school. A captain of our football team. I threw shotput and discus. I sucked at those but at that time I could bench 305. So...you know, big beefy southern guy. I weighed 240 and change, though...and was terribly unhappy about my self-image and appearance even though I was very popular...I was the prom king one year! Probably the fattest ever prom king lol...but, when I got to college I was just really unhappy.
I always had tons of girls as friends in high school as I'm just a chatty person...friendly. I'm empathetic I think...easy to talk to, and tbh I'm probably just a weird feminine person in many ways but that really doesn't bother me. Art, dancing, feelings, music...etc...I love those things The best things in life, or at least some of them.
BUT as part of my nature I was instantly friend-zoned, which is fine...those were my friends...but I never got a real deep relationship...and part of me always thought it was because I was too heavy.
One day, I overheard some girls talking about how unattractive some guy was because he was overweight (it wasn't me, they had no idea I even heard them) and just felt crushed...got obsessed and just lost all my weight ASAP...running constantly, playing racquetball constantly, club wrestling for insane hours in insane heat...basically exercise bulimia tbh. Eating nothing.
And I did lose the weight. I lost 65 pounds in 6-8 months. I forget the exact figure and timeline, but it was by all accounts...very aggressive.
240-175
When I arrived at that weight, however...I was still unhappy. AND...I lost my strength, which is a life fail of huge proportions. I'm probably never benching 305 again...
I got mad one day looking at this self-portrait at the lost weight level and crumpled the drawing in self-hate. But, I didn't throw it away. Well, I did throw it...I think probably at that time I was just a slob and my trashcan was full and it probably landed on the floor lol.
There's actually tons of problems with it that bother me a lot lol...but I like it more for just what it is.
It's a good symbol
* losing the weight won't magically fix your life!

How about crafted works like knitting and crochet? If not, I might have to start a different thread to see if I can tease out other crafty people.
One on the left is the officially licensed product and the one on the right is the one I crocheted a few years back.
