What Does MFP Consider a workout

I'm redoing some of MFP settings, one of the questions it asks is how many workouts a week do you do. I don't know what that means

I can appreciate time spent in the gym, swimming, football and the like. I'm a pretty fast walker, take the dog for a good longish relaxed walk. Would that kind of activity count as a workout?

Thanks for your advice

Kevin

It's pretty irrelevant as it doesn't change your calorie allowance.

    Just a motivational aspiration really.

    This. ^^^^

Specifically, it's used only to put a total exercise minutes goal per day & week into your exercise logging page, so it can tell you that you've done (say) 85 of the 100 minutes of planned exercise this week.

No effect on calories, so don't agonize over it.

Walking is exercise...but as others have pointed out, that particular goal has no bearing on you calories...it's just for you to set goals for how much you will work out. I never filled it out except for when I was playing around with the app when I first started to see how it worked...
