I'm planning to start strong lifts this week and am excited because I haven't lifted since college.

the starting weight is 45# in the 1st week for all exercises. How much should I warm up with? Bodyweight, kettle bell, hand weights or something else? And if I'm warming up without much weight how many reps/sets do I complete before lifting 45#?

Thanks.

It's been a while since I did stronglifts but I think the warmup was in the 5 sets you do already.

you shouldn't need to warm up for the first few workouts. starting the movements with a couple sets with the empty bar is what is usually done. Later in the program you'll use a couple sets of the empty bar then add weight and do a set and so on and so on until you reach your working weight for that set. I suppose you could do some bodyweight movements as a warmup but its probably not needed.

If you get the paid version of the app it has warmup sets. To clarify - the 5 sets are work sets and do not include warmups.
