So I run pretty regularly these days. But for the last 6 week or so it's been not so regular b/c of this thing on my foot. (see pic) What is it and what can I do about it? I stayed off my feet for about 2 weeks and it didn't at all. Running kind of irritates it, but I wouldn't call it painful. It's not gotten better (or worse, really) no matter what I've done. It feel like a little rock inside my foot. I would have thought it was an ordinary callous but the fact it's so irritating makes me think not. tgdjcbaqcra6.jpg

Looks like a healing blister but you should go to a podiatrist to rule out something more serious or something that could spread on your foot or to others (like a plantar wart).

It's most likely a plantar's wart as stated. I don't have much luck with commercial products on these warts as they seem to make them worse. I used fresh garlic sliced thin and placed over it and cover with a bandaid or garlic oil applied 3 to 5 times a day and it gets rid of them within a few weeks. Good luck!

Yup, that's a plantar wart, my son had one and thought he had a piece of glass in his foot. Podiatrist got rid of it in a visit.

Plantar's wart. You can get your doctor to freeze it off, then follow up with at home treatment.

I agree - plantar's wart. Having had these off an on throughout high school and college, I want to stress not waiting to go to the doctor and definitely not picking at it. They'll likely use dry ice to freeze it, but the short term pain of that is much better than the feeling of walking on glass! My immune system isn't the most reliable so one wart quickly spread into many. If you have future problems after taking care of this one, I suggest replacing all socks/shoes.

Plantar wart. I've had several. Whatever you do, try to get an appointment with a dermatologist to treat it as soon as you can. I ended up seeing a nurse practitioner to avoid the long wait to see the specialist.
As someone else mentioned, I found that OTC treatments didn't work and it resulted in giving the wart grow deeper in my foot because I procrastinated in getting it treated with the big guns. Once I had the cryotherapy the pain was pretty intense for several days though it might be less intense if you treat it soon.

Plantar wart. File with an displosible nail file until red, apply salicytic acid (you can pick up at Walmart in the foot section of the pharmacy area), cover with duct tape. The following day rip off the duct tape, file with a new nail file, and repeat daily until gone.
