Eye see what you did there.
Do you see it because you got LASIK??0 -
I've been thinking of doing it for years and keep waiting to hear some horror story, but that hasn't happened yet. I know lots of people, including most of my family who's had it done and they all rave about it. I'm kinda running out of excuses and should just get in for a consult and do it.0

I definitely went down the rabbit hole on this one and found some BAD experiences... now just trying to figure out if it's all "woo".0

Anytime I use "Dr Google" I think I have some kind of rare disease.
As with any surgery, there's a risk for complications...but I think they're pretty minimal or you would hear about them without having to dig around.2 -
Apparently the guy who approved the patent back in the day is speaking out against it.
Which could very well be a conspiracy theory. And which is why I started this post.0 -
Chickened out. Moved the procedure out 6 weeks.0

My wife got it done. Had it done mono vision (one eye for distances, one for up close). a few weeks later she still couldn't see distance well. Thought her eyes wouldn't adjust. Dr. said her distance vision eye was not corrected to the right vision. So he put her in glasses until able to schedule her for radial caratomy. Can't do lasik a second time on the same eye. Had the second procedure. and now instead of 2 to 4 weeks until vision stability it is now 4 to 6 months. 4 months later (from the second procedure) she still cannot see distance without a pair of glasses. She is suppose to be going in for a checkup sometime in the next couple of weeks. She is not happy she put out all that money and still has to wear glasses. Not sure what the final results are going to be.1

Dang. I'm sorry to hear about your wife. Thanks for sharing your experiences, though!0
